Looking for a food-savvy and outgoing volunteer to assist with Trapped in Amber-Pops! We'll be teaching tweens and middles (ages 5-12) how to make "amber" lollipops and trap flowers and leaves inside, in addition to teaching them about the science behind resin fossilization.
Tasks include:
- set up and break down of the program space (moving tables, setting up burners, etc.)
- assisting children with dried flowers/leaves, setting up lollipop molds, etc.
- cleaning cooking spaces & cleaning dishes
- cutting and wrapping papers for lollipops
- other tasks as assigned
Volunteers should be comfortable with changing tasks as needed, working with hot sugar with PPE, and operating as an assistant teacher for parts of the craft.
