Looking for a food-savvy and outgoing volunteer to assist with Book Bites! We'll be teaching tweens (ages 8-12) how to make tortillas & quesadillas, and introducing them to Latino & Latina authors in our collection.
Tasks include:
- set up and break down of the program space (moving tables, setting up burners, etc.)
- assisting tweens with forming dough and rolling out tortillas
- assisting with cooking on a hot griddle and keeping children in safe zone
- cleaning cooking spaces
- other tasks as assigned
This program will be held in the Storytelling Room.
