Looking for an outgoing and crafty volunteer to help us with our Tween Hands-on History Camp! This is a multi-day workshop where tweens (ages 8-12) will learn how to make paper, ink, and writing tools from different historical materials. Tasks will include:
Tasks include:
- setting up and breaking down tables and chairs
-preparing craft supplies, including lifting boxes and mixing ingredients
-assisting tweens with fine motor tasks, including grinding ingredients, pouring ink, cutting quill tips, etc.
-storing tweens’ crafts between workshop days
-other tasks as assigned
Volunteers should be comfortable with changing tasks as needed, working with chemicals with PPE, and operating as an assistant teacher for parts of the craft.
You do not have to sign up for all three days, but it is encouraged!
